Part 2: Rental terms
Who can rent
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. The person who books is the renter and is responsible for the equipment and for everyone who uses it during the rental.
Rental agreement and photo ID
- Each rental agreement is made for your booking: it lists exactly the equipment you rented, with the replacement value of every piece. If something is damaged you pay the repair cost, up to that value; if it is lost, stolen or beyond repair you pay the listed value.
- After booking, you sign a rental agreement online. The link is on the confirmation screen and in your confirmation email. Typing your full name and clicking "Sign agreement" is your legal electronic signature.
- You or someone you send may pick up the equipment. Whoever picks up must show a valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID or passport). If someone else is picking up, tell us their name first; their ID must match it. We may refuse to hand over equipment without a signed agreement and a matching ID. You stay responsible for the rental no matter who picks it up.
Booking and payment
- The standard rate is $200 per day for the full 15" PA system. Delivery and setup options are available for an additional fee and are shown at booking.
- Booking online reserves your dates right away and you receive a confirmation email. Payment is due at pickup or on delivery.
- We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking, for example if the equipment is unavailable or a request does not look safe. If we cancel, you receive a full refund.
Cancellations
Cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before are not refundable, but we may offer to reschedule if we can. To cancel, use your confirmation email or contact us.
Pickup, delivery, and return
- We send the pickup address and a time window after you book. Please inspect the equipment at pickup or delivery and tell us right away if anything looks wrong.
- Return everything on the agreed date and time, with all cables, stands, and accessories that came with it.
- If you return the equipment late, we may charge for each additional day or part of a day at the daily rate, because it may affect the next renter.
Care of the equipment
- The equipment is not weatherproof. Keep it dry, out of rain, spray, and standing water, and do not leave it unattended outdoors overnight.
- Do not leave it in a vehicle where it could be stolen or damaged by heat or cold.
- Use it only for its normal purpose. Do not modify, open, repair, or loan it to anyone else, and do not resell or sublease it.
- Set up speakers on stable stands on firm, level ground and secure them from tipping, wind, and crowds. Keep cables out of walkways. Use properly rated electrical outlets.
Loss, theft, and damage
From the time you take possession until we receive the equipment back, you are responsible for its loss, theft, and damage, other than normal wear and tear. If something is lost, stolen, or damaged, you agree to pay the reasonable cost to repair or replace it. We may charge the payment method used for your booking, after notifying you of the charge and its reason.
Sound levels, permits, and venues
You are responsible for choosing a safe location and sound level, for following noise ordinances, park or venue rules, and for any permits needed for your event. Loud sound can damage hearing. Keep volume at a safe level for guests and for children and pets.
Risk, liability, and indemnity
- The equipment is provided "as is". We take care to provide working, clean equipment, but we do not promise it will meet every need or that it will work without interruption. Technical problems can happen.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, such as a ruined event, lost income, or lost opportunity. Our total liability for any claim related to a rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, you agree to be responsible for, and to defend and compensate us for, claims, damages, and costs from injury to people or damage to property caused by your use of the equipment or by your event, except to the extent caused by our own negligence.
- Nothing here limits any right or liability that cannot legally be limited.
Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, illness, accidents, power failures, or government orders. If we cannot provide your rental for such a reason, we will offer a refund or a new date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Davidson County, Tennessee, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you book applies to that booking.
