This policy explains what information Buben Sound, operated by Nicholas Bailey as a sole proprietor ("we", "me", "us"), collects when you visit bubensound.com or rent equipment from us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a small, locally operated business in Nashville, Tennessee. We keep what we collect to a minimum.
Information we collect
- Booking information. When you book, you give us your name, email address, phone number, event date and type, pickup or delivery details (including a delivery address if you choose delivery), and any notes you add. This is collected by the booking form on this site and stored in our booking database.
- Payment information. You pay in person at pickup or delivery. The website does not collect card numbers.
- Messages. If you call, text, or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you tell us.
- Rental agreement. When you sign your agreement online, we store the agreement text, your typed name, your drawn signature if you add one, the time, and your IP address and browser type, as a record of the signature. We look at your photo ID in person at pickup; we do not copy or store it.
- Technical information. Our website host (Vercel) may record standard server information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you requested. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Reviews. If you post a review on Google, that review is public and governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your personal information for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
- This website does not use advertising pixels or session recording. If you click Accept on the cookie bar, we use Google Analytics to measure visits (pages viewed, how you found the site, general location and device type). We do not send your name, email or phone number to Google Analytics. If you decline, it does not load.
- We do not send marketing texts or emails unless you ask us to.
How we use information
- To confirm and manage your booking, take payment, arrange pickup or delivery, and contact you about your rental.
- To answer your questions and give support.
- To keep records for accounting, tax, insurance, and dispute purposes.
- To protect our equipment and prevent fraud or misuse.
- To maintain and improve this website.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Supabase for storing bookings.
- Google Analytics for visit statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Google for calendar, email-related features, and our Business Profile.
- Vercel for website hosting.
- Namecheap (Private Email) for business email.
Each provider has its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our rental terms, or to protect our rights, our equipment, or the safety of others.

How long we keep information
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to complete your rental and for accounting, tax, insurance, dispute, and legal purposes. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove identifying details where we reasonably can.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, unless we need to keep it for legal or business record-keeping reasons. Email booking@bubensound.com or call (615) 403-7118. We will respond within the time required by law. We may need to verify your identity first.
California and other state residents. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know, correct, and delete personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define the terms, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Children
This website and our rentals are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be at least 18 to rent equipment.
Links to other sites
Our site links to third-party sites such as Google. We do not control their content or privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
